On Tuesday 5th October 2010 we visited Gateshead Library as part of World Book Week. We linked our visit to the forthcoming visit of our new Comenius partners from eight European countries. Our class were learning about Sweden and Cath read us an old traditional story from Sweden. We went on to discover the character of Pippi Longstocking in books by a Swedish author, Astrid Lindgren. In lessons we made up our own stories about Pippi. We each chose two books to bring back to school and enjoyed selecting them.
