Finding out about the heart

As part of our keeping healthy theme, we are learning about our hearts and how they work. In PE we have been measuring our resting pulse rate rate and then measuring it again after exercise. Some of us found it hard to find our pulse to start with but managed after a short while. We listened to our heart beat through a stethescope. To help us to understand how the blood moves around our body, we made a heart showing the atriums, ventricles, valves, arteries and veins.
