On Friday 4^th March, Brighton Avenue celebrated world book day in style with a carousel of book related activities in various classrooms. In our Year 6 classroom, activities centred around one of Miss Heathfield's favourite books, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. We read extracts of the story and imagined that we were inventors designing weird and wonderful new products. We created our designs using a range of existing sweets and then went on to deliver an advertisement in groups encouraging people to buy our design.

Designs included the 'Brain Booster', which once eaten can help you complete your homework, and the 'Repeat Sweet' that can help you travel back in time.
