Tobacco Education

All the children in Key Stage 2 received 'Tobacco Education' this week by Lynsey Rowe. They found out about the dangers of smoking cigarettes and how they affect all parts of the body in some way. Discussions were held on what it means to be addicted and the chemicals which are contained within a cigarette. One of the pictures below shows a lung which is full of tar from smoking. The children understood why people feel they want to smoke but also have the information to make informed choices when the are older. The message was to never start smoking and you won't become addicted and you will lead a much healthier lifestyle.
