Brighton Avenue is one of the top schools nationally for sustained improvement

P1010234.JPG downing street-with vernon coaker.JPGEarlier this term, Mrs Pallent, Brighton Avenue's Headteacher was invited to a reception at 10 Downing Street. This prestigious event was to recognise the achievements of the most improved schools in the country.

Mrs Pallent was delighted to have been invited and had a remarkable time. During her visit she met Gordon Brown the Prime Minister who addressed the group of Headteachers. Mrs Pallent was interviewed by the press and said that she was very proud to be Headteacher at Brighton Avenue and went on to pay tribute to the wonderful work carried out by her staff.
